Adventures of Grad School, Teaching, and Life
Title and Opening Sequence
My title sequence and opening (first 30 seconds to 1 minute including your title) is shared here along with an outline of my idea for the full structure of my piece.
Opening: I want to achieve some contrast to help show viewers how simple and relaxing Todd and the New River are. I choose short, fast clips of busy areas with voice over to grab the viewers’ attention and then I transitioned into a clip of the river flowing.
Sections: There is the introduction section and then I will transition into each interviewee introducing themselves. I will probably go from question to question. Each interviewee will answer the question before I go on to the next question. Essentially each question will be its own section.
Transitions or poetic elements: I will have cutaways to help with transitions and I will use clips of the river flowing to transition between clips.
Tension or energy pulling your audience along: The beginning draws viewers in and then each answer will keep the audience engaged. Going in between interviewees with hold their attention.
Conclusion: I will end my video by showing clips of some of the final thoughts of the interviewees. For example, one interviewee said “Hopefully you get a chance to come.”
